Bangkok, 17 May 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), represented by Mr. Nithee Seeprae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, participated as a special guest speaker at the Skift Asia Forum 2025.
Held on 15 May, the session was titled “Accelerating Inbound Travel Across the Region” and featured Ms. Laura Houldsworth, Managing Director and Vice President, Asia Pacific, at Booking.com, with moderation by Ms. Monica Pitrelli, Travel Editor at CNBC.
The Skift Asia Forum 2025 took place from 14–15 May in Bangkok and convened over 200 delegates from across the tourism sector for two days of in-depth dialogue on the future of travel. Under the theme “Asia’s New Priorities”, the forum gathered industry leaders from prominent organisations including the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Thai Airways International, Agoda, Booking.com, Trip.com, Klook, and CNBC.
Discussions focused on the transformative role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and social commerce, as well as the importance of developing bespoke tourism offerings to cater to high-value segments, including luxury and Muslim travellers. These insights are expected to support Thailand in expanding its base of quality tourists and enhancing the long-term sustainability of its tourism economy.
